The coastline sector of Asturias between the localities of Gijón/Xixón and Ribadesella/Ribeseya is Known as the “Coast of Dinosaurs” and is characterised by the abundance of dinosaur and other Jurassic reptile prints and bone remains. Nine dinosaur ichnite deposits can be visited along this coastal section, located in the councils of Villaviciosa, Colunga and Ribadesella/Ribeseya.
